Welcome to the probatesdirect online application service. This application form can only currently be used for deaths that have occurred within England and Wales.
Here you will be able to request online the appropriate forms need you to apply for either a Grant of Probate - where someone has died with a Will or Letters of Administration - where someone has died without a Will.
A checklist is provided before you start detailing the information you need. There are help buttons explaining what information is required and why.
Once you have completed our six-part form and submitted it, probatesdirect through The Lister Croft Partnership solicitors of West Yorkshire will forward to you all the necessary papers for signature and return. These will then be submitted and subject to the local Probate Registry's workload the Grant should be back with you within 2 - 3 weeks.
There will be no need for you to attend at the Registry for any interviews.
You will not be asked to provide any credit card details or make any payments before the preparation of the documents.
The cost of the probatesdirect service has been priced to competitively match that of making the application yourself at the Probate Registry.
- The legal costs are £400.00 + VAT
- Oath Fee £7
- Court fee £40 plus £1 for each copy of the Grant that is requested
- Should an Affidavit or Attorney form need to be filed we will charge an additional £90
When you return the forms to Lister Croft Partnership solicitors only then will you be asked to forward the necessary cheques.
